On July 26, 2025, at the incredible Intuit Headquarters in Plano, TX, I had the honor, through my organization Soul Reborn, to host Affirming the Vision: A Free Vision Board Experience for Women. My heart was full as we welcomed 100 phenomenal women for a day filled with empowerment, inspiration, and sisterhood. From the moment they walked in, they were met with warmth, love, and a spirit of possibility. We shared gourmet breakfast and lunch prepared with excellence by Chef Felicia, engaged in vibrant conversations, and set the tone for a day that was never just about creating vision boards—it was about transforming lives. Through guided discussions and creative sessions, I encouraged these women to dream bigger, to see themselves through a new lens, and to map out a purposeful path forward in a safe, uplifting space.
The atmosphere was electric during our Soul Reborn Pitch Competition, where powerful women-owned businesses stepped boldly into the spotlight. I will never forget the moment when Ivory Lawrence won the top prize of $3,000 and Tanisha Stewart earned a well-deserved $2,000 as runner-up—real, tangible support to help them bring their visions to life. In total, we awarded $7,500 in grants, giving these women the resources, courage, and affirmation they needed to turn their bold ideas into thriving realities. Our outstanding panel of judges—Sara Madsen Miller of 1820 Productions, Stacy Bowers of Simmons Bank, Stephanie Bowers of Texas Capital Bank, and Sharan Allen & Karan Staggers of Agape Life Multicultural Services—shared their expertise and poured encouragement into every participant. Their wisdom, combined with the bravery of our contestants, made this so much more than a competition—it was a living, breathing reminder that women’s voices and visions truly matter.
