She is the recipient of such awards as the Maura Service Award in Dallas, the Presidential Service Award from President Joseph R. Biden, and the Topaz Award from WIFTA. Most recently, she was selected to speak on a panel alongside our former first lady, Michelle Obama, to celebrate and promote her book “The Light We Carry.”

Cheryl is the CEO and Founder of Williamson Media Group, LLC, Soul Reborn 501(c) (3) non-profit charitable institution, and Cheryl Polote Williamson, LLC. Her quarterly publication, Cheryl Magazine, highlights the impactful work of powerful, everyday women across multiple industries.
Most recently, she was selected to speak on a panel with former first lady Michelle Obama for a special discussion of her latest book release, “The Light We Carry.” Williamson was of few women selected out of hundreds of thousands for this extraordinary opportunity.
This limitless, faith-driven mindset has garnered multiple national and international media features and several awards for her leadership capabilities. She counts the notable Maura Service Award, one of the highest achievements for women in service in Texas, and the Presidential Service Award from President Joseph R. Biden as a great honor. Recently she was honored with the Topaz Award from WIFTA (Women in Film & TV) for her award-winning film work and the Avante-Garde award at the 2022 Mogulcon. She was selected as one of Dallas’ Top 25 women and was honored as one of the Female Success Factor Award recipients for 2016. She garnered the 2017 and 2018 Indie Author Literary Trailblazer Award, Global Smashers Award, Who’s Who in Black Dallas Publishing, Indie Author Legacy Award in 2017 and 2018, a 2018 African American Literary Award, and the 2020 African American Literary Award for Self-Published Author of the Year.
As a filmmaker, she has executive-produced multiple films and documentaries, including the highly acclaimed, “Twenty Pearls: The Story of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority,” narrated by Phylicia Rashad, and the recent Links documentary “The Invitation.” She’s been fortunate to see her projects receive awards from HBO Max, join the Oscar Short List, and screen at over 100 film festivals globally.
Cheryl tours nationally, motivating varied audiences to release negative strongholds, walk in power, and thrive in purpose. An author of over 17 books, she has been a featured author at the 108th NAACP National Convention and the Congressional Black Caucus. Her multiple best-selling titles include Soul Reborn, Words from the Spirit for the Spirit, Safe House, Affirmed, Soul Talk Vol 1, 2, and 3, Soul Bearer, Soul Source, The Success Factor, Souled Out, Soul to Soul, Soulful Prayers Vol 1 and 2, and with Soulful Affirmations released in 2021.
