I am deeply humbled, honored, and filled with gratitude. To be recognized by Dallas Weekly with the Tony Davis Media Mogul Award is an affirmation of purpose, calling, and the work that I am so passionate about — amplifying Black voices, creating opportunities for Black women, and building platforms for stories that need to be told.
Sharing this moment alongside Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett was a reminder that greatness multiplies when surrounded by visionaries and leaders committed to uplifting their communities. This award is more than recognition; it is a celebration of alignment, grace, and the impact we can make when we serve with intention.
The 6th Annual Best of Black Dallas Awards highlighted individuals making transformative contributions across our city. I am deeply honored to be in the company of change-makers like Akwete Tyehimba, Charles O’Neal, and Barry Brewer, who each lead with courage, service, and a commitment to our Black communities.
The Tony Davis Media Mogul Award is named for a visionary who championed truth-centered journalism and empowered Black voices through Dallas Weekly. To receive this honor is to stand in alignment with a legacy of storytelling, empowerment, and generational impact. Through Soul Reborn, my nonprofit, and through my media platforms, my mission has always been to create spaces where Black women can heal, grow, and step into leadership. Every story told, every stage created, every voice elevated is part of that mission.
Recognition like this reminds me that the work continues, that opportunities must be expanded, and that our stories matter. I am grateful beyond measure for this honor, for the communities I serve, and for the chance to keep building, mentoring, and creating spaces where Black voices are seen, heard, and celebrated.
This is not just my story — it’s a movement, and the legacy is just beginning.
